We’ll update this page regularly as we move closer to NAMM 2019. Here’s what we know so far:
Nektar has one of the most anticipated products lined up for release: its first-ever soft synth, the Bolt. The virtual instrument features 16 polyphonic voices with two oscillators per voice, and uses Harmonics Synthesis technology for a uniquely warm and organic sonic character.
Bitwig is on a roll. After releasing two updates to its flagship DAW in 2018, the brand has unveiled the Bitwig Studio 2.5 beta, which is full of user-requested features. Expect to see the software in action at NAMM.
Arturia made a splash with Pigments when it was announced in December. The wavetable and analogue-style virtual synthesiser features a twin synth engine, allowing you to mix virtual analogue and wavetable oscillators to lay the foundation for your patch.
Alesis announced the Strike Pad in early December. It’s a drum machine that ships with 32GB of loops and samples – including percussion and melodic instruments – and can double up as an audio interface and hardware sampler, too.
Waves Audio will likely demo its Flow Motion FM Synth, a new release whose intuitive UI aims to make FM synthesis “playful and easy”.
IK Multimedia has announced the SampleTank 4, a workstation with professional-quality sounds, deep editing capability, diverse effects and an intuitive interface.
Aston Microphones has introduced a sleek new model: the Aston Stealth. This handsome unit is packed with features, including four switchable voices and a first-of-its kind autodetect function that senses phantom power.
Steinberg‘s latest and tenth edition of Cubase packs new features and enhancements, including a redesigned channel strip and better audio alignment tools. It also comes with 5GB of fresh sounds and loops.
