David Gilmour (born 1946) is an English rock musician and songwriter, best known as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist of Pink Floyd. He is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and record producer. He has released 12 solo albums, with his latest, 'Rattle That Lock' (2015), on Columbia Records. He has received 4 Ivor Novello awards and an OBE.
