Us music producers probably spend a little too much of our time in front of screens. But grabbing yourself a MIDI controller is a sure-fire way to spend less time clicking and more time creating. This year has seen an array of impressively intuitive controllers come to life, with the likes of Sensel shaking things up with Morph and deadmau5 chiming in with his OSC-based app, OSC/Pilot.
Brands like Arturia and Novation have looked toward the rising popularity of Eurorack and included CV/gate connectivity to manipulate modular racks with ease. We’ve reviewed some excellent controllers this year, but the final say on which one is the best is only possible with your help.
