Key components in your studio?
Behringer Truth B2031A, M-Audio Studiophile AV 40, Yamaha HS-7W,
Yamaha 01V96i, Tascam FW1884, Behringer Virtualizer 3D, Digitech GSP 2101 Studio Tube, VOX Interface monitoring system, Arturia MiniLab, M-Audio Keystation 49e, Alesis PerformancePad and various mics.

Which DAW do you use and why?
Cubase 5. It has a very stable interface, and it is compatible with a wide variety of external plug-ins. It is a powerful processor and a very professional tool.

Favourite piece of gear?
My mixer, the Yamaha 01V96i. It has all the tools to work with or without a computer. Its internal processors are really good and buying it was the best decision I could have made.

How do you use your studio?
I record in it professionally and with every band, it is always a new experience. Every band has a personality but we always click, which helps very much with the recordings. And, at the end of the day, you end up with a better sound. I would say that we always have a Mexican flavour, with both the musicality and the production.

Perfect or room for improvement?
The location of the studio could be better as we are in an area where it is very hot and, with the heat of the musicians and gear, sometimes it feels like an oven. But putting in air conditioning means noise…

What is your dream piece of gear?
A big mixer like a Yamaha DM2000VCM – a seriously great dream! And accompanied by a set of Neumann microphones.

On your shopping list? I am in waiting for Cubase 8 to come to my country. There can’t be a better DAW for my studio.
