NAMM 2020: 64 Audio launches the new flagship A18s in-ear monitors at NAMM 2020, building on the existing 18-driver A18t platform. They are built for a range of engineering, performance and audiophile requirements.

64 Audio’s A18s certainly don’t come cheap, but could be the best in-ear monitor solution for studio, stage and beyond. The predecessor, A18t, was the first custom in-ear monitor to offer 18 drivers per ear, providing an unparalleled reference quality of playback.

Being an expert in its field, 64 Audio recognised the success and power of the 18 drivers and chose to incorporate them into the A18s, due to its ability to offer more headroom and shape the sound in a more advantageous manner. With a re-tuned sound signature and new crossover, artists performing on stage can benefit from higher volume without distortion, making the monitor ideal for demanding performance environments. Hence, the ‘s’ at the end of A18s stands for ‘stage’, clarifying 64 Audio’s intention when designing this monitor.

The A18s incorporates 64 Audio’s LID (Linear Impedance Design), which provides a consistent frequency response, despite the potential variety in its descendant in the signal path.
This could be an important factor for the modern artist in choosing their ideal in-ear monitor. 64 Audio has packed in all it can into this product, so it’s no wonder these are considered to be such high-end monitors.

“We’re thrilled to finally unveil our latest flagship custom in-ear monitor at NAMM,” said
Vitaliy Belonozhko, founder and Chief Technical Officer. “I’m particularly proud of this
project because it’s the result of some very close collaboration and testing with our
musicians and engineers. These artists are truly pushing the boundaries of their
equipment and we worked hard to develop a product that not only can hold its own in
the most demanding applications, but actually empowers artists to push their own
Boundaries”.

64 Audio’s A18s will be available soon, with a price tag of $3000. Find out more at 64audio.com
