It’s that time of year again – Black Friday is among us, bringing forth some serious discounts on desirable gear. French audio brand Arturia is celebrating by cutting prices on V Collection 7, FX Collection and Pigments until 6 December.
V Collection 7
V Collection 7 is an expansive library of classic analogue synth emulations, making use of Arturia’s True Analog Emulation tech. It also boasts sounds from classic electric and acoustic pianos and even a digital reproduction of the legendary Fairlight CMI.
In our review, we said: “As soft synths go, Arturia’s instruments offer some of the best solutions out there. They are very good sonically, offer plenty of options for sound creation and in the context of the V Collection, are simply ridiculous value for money, representing a really cost-effective investment”. At a Black Friday price of €249, the bundle is even more of a cost-effective investment.
FX Collection
Arturia’s FX Collection comprises 15 effects plug-ins for mixing, mastering and adding a touch of creative effects. By using the same tech found in V Collection 7 and Arturia’s Physical Modelling Technology, you’ll find faithful emulations of classic analogue studio gear to sink your teeth into.
Three is the magic number with FX Collection, featuring three reverbs, delays, preamps, compressors and filters. Some notable plug-ins include Pre 1973, an emulation of the Neve 1073; Rev Plate-140, based on EMT’s plate reverb; Comp FET-76, based on the UREI 1176; and Filter MINI, a recreation of the classic Moog Ladder filter. The collection is available for €199, down from €399.
Pigments
Last year’s Gear of the Year soft synth nominee comes through at under €100 this Black Friday. Pigments offers a ton of modulation possibilities in a sleek, intuitive GUI with a fully formed sequencer and arpeggiator. We reviewed the product last year and said: “The best thing about Pigments is that if you don’t like a preset sound – and there are one or two duds – you’re microseconds away from destroying it with its boundless synth, modulation, and effect options”.
The brilliant soft synth is available at €99 and, once you’ve settled into its workflow, you may even get a cheaper upgrade to Pigments 2.
