NAMM 2020: Arturia introduces the newest member of its Step family at this years NAMM, the KeyStep Pro. The MIDI controller and multi-channel polyphonic sequencer allows musicians and performers to take full advantage of their gear, boasting impressive connectivity options.

Alongside the BeatStep, BeatStep Pro and KeyStep, Arturia invites you to welcome the KeyStep Pro to your studio and stages. The 37-key controller’s connection ports will allow you to take control of your modular rigs, outboard synths and software studio simultaneously. Featuring four individual polyphonic sequencer tracks, you can make the most of your instruments, plus the ability to use Track 1 as a 16-part integrated drum sequencer. Arturia says the controller is “incredibly intuitive, has unparalleled connectivity, and promises to make even complex performances a breeze”.

The keybed is home to slim keys spanning three octaves with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. KeyStep Pro is ideal for performers who are more comfortable with using keys over pads to create patterns and trigger sounds.

Each of the four tracks can trigger 16 patterns, with each pattern containing up to 64 steps and 16 notes per step. You can also use Chains to link up 16 patterns together to create whole songs or split your set into sections. Scenes can be used to switch between sets of sequences swiftly, and Projects will allow you to load, duplicate, edit and save your work in the onboard memory.

KeyStep Pro will be available in Spring 2020 at €339, with pre-orders available now. Find out more information at arturia.com
