Try this Awesome Web Based 808

After a year full of iOS apps reconnecting us with some of our best loved pieces of kit we’d like to draw your attention to something that requires a little less commitment, the web-based IO-808 that brings the Roland TR-808 to your browser.

Developed by Vincent Riemer, it’s been faithfully recreated and looks to be an impressive emulator that we’re sure you’ll want to try. You won’t be able to jump straight into this particular 808 however, unless you have some prior knowledge of the real thing but don’t let that put you off, as a handy tutorial is included to help you along the way.

Try it out here – For optimal performance we’ve learned that Safari is your best bet, though most browsers should be able to do justice. Just don’t get too addicted to it.
