BandLab Sounds is a new service that gives producers access to a massive library of royalty-free samples and loops to create with – all fully downloadable and ready to use in any DAW.
Launched by social music-making platform BandLab, the service features over 10,000 sounds – built up by an array of top-flight artists and professional sound designers. And that includes all sounds previously available to the platform, as well as a host of new ones. Samples are available as uncompressed WAVs and downloadable via web or mobile.
The service kicked off today with artist packs designed by the likes of NWA founder Arabian Prince, Atlanta production talent Tasha Catour, multi-instrumentalist Youngr, and electronic producers Joe Ford, Martin Bradder and Kove. Users can also expect to find new sounds added to the service weekly.
Sounds are categorised and searchable by key, tempo (BPM), instrument and genre, as well as by mood. According to BandLab Sounds Product Manager John Ivers, these tags were chosen to “Make discovery a stress-free part of your creative journey.”
“We understand that a producer’s sound library is their instrument — and we want to give them the best instrument possible,” he added. “Our samples are fantastic quality, royalty-free, usable in all audio software and distribution ready.”
BandLab Sounds is the latest in a suite of creator-empowering tools introduced for users of the ever-growing platform. Earlier this June, the Singapore-based company also launched BandLab Albums, which allows creators to self-publish their material and keep 100 per cent of their earnings.
