The two services make it possible for djay users to browse through online music libraries and stream directly to the DJ decks. While Beatport LINK is aimed at dance music DJs, Beatsource LINK could prove to be an asset for open format DJs. The streamable tracks include metadata like cue points, Key and BPM, with djay’s Match feature offering track recommendations on-the-fly to help users find the perfect next track to mix in.
Beatport and Beatsource’s Offline Locker, Top 100 Tracks and professionally curated playlists are also available, along with the ability to favourite tracks straight into other playlists. Thanks to the synchronisation abilities of djay, users can set up playlists, cue points and more on the iOS version of djay and then perform on their Mac with the djay Pro desktop software.
Algoriddim’s djay and djay Pro apps are officially certified for use with some of Pioneer DJ’s controllers, like the DDJ-200, as well as over 100 other DJ controllers directly out of the box.
Beatport and Beatsource LINK users will have access to Automix AI, which generates an automatic mix of their favourite curated playlists, the Beatport and Beatsource Top 100, and genre playlists.
Speaking about the integration, Robb McDaniels, CEO of Beatport said, “djay is the most popular mobile app for DJs, so we are extremely excited to integrate both Beatport and Beatsource and make millions of expertly curated songs available to millions of up-and-coming DJs and music tastemakers.”
Both Beatport and Beatsource LINK are available for a 30 day free trial in Algoriddim djay and djay Pro today, as well as all other integrations with Pioneer DJ rekordbox, Virtual DJ, and Hercules DJUCED.
