Podcasts have seen a surge in popularity as of late, alongside the steady increase in video viewers, across a range of devices. BounceCast is a new app designed to assist content creators in these realms, with the ability to record, edit and master podcasts and video audio at the push of a button. This could save time and money for those who don’t have access to professional editing services.

The content creation world has seen an influx of new blood keen to get involved, vlogging, podcasting and influencing from beauty to business, fashion to football, music to movies and so much more. So much so, that this market is becoming a career for many, or at least a key part of their business strategy. Therefore, professional sounding audio is imperative in supplying a good product to audiences. Enter BounceCast.

Going Pro

BounceCast is built by the Finnish team behind CloudBounce, an advanced online mastering service. The new app is built with features that provide a result that “is like having an audio engineer on hand 24/7, always ready to enhance any recording, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound”, BounceCast says.

This is thanks to the intelligent application of subtractive EQ, transparent compression, limiting, de-essing and level normalisation. The app will also analyse audio files to ensure audio restoration and reduce environmental noises such as hums, clicks or pops. BounceCast offers file supports across WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC and Ogg-Vorbis, with the ability to change any file format for uploading and exporting.

Pricing

The app is available now, with a free version on offer that provides limited features, or a monthly unlimited plan costing $10 per month. Alternatively, you can go all-in for the year at an introductory price of $49 for the first 1,000 subscribers worldwide, which then moves up to $99. BounceCast will be available for desktop (Mac OS X 10.7 or newer / Windows 7 or newer) with a mobile app planned for launch later this year.
