BPB Saturator

Bedroom Producers Blog has released Saturator, a new free plug-in that can colour your sounds with analogue-style saturation. It’s a follow-up to the brand’s recent Dirty Filter plug-in, sporting a similar GUI.

Saturator can apply tube-style and tape-style saturation, either combined or separately. Your audio will be routed through a virtual tube preamp, with a high- and low-pass filter to sculpt the sound and remove any unwanted frequencies. Check out the demo video below:

BPB says that Saturator is ideal for adding warmth to synths or giving your drums a touch of distortion for more presence. You can push things to the extreme, too, crushing your instruments with tube distortion.

BPB’s goal was to make Saturator lightweight and easy-to-use, so only the essential parameters are included. This will minimise the strain on your CPU, whilst offering a clear and concise workflow.

Saturator is available in VST2, VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and macOS. Downloading the plug-in won’t require you to sign up to any newsletters or promotional content, which is always a bonus.
