Cakewalk’s Momentum Let’s You Sync Your Ideas Across Mobile And Desktop

Cakewalk’s new Momentum app could make syncing your audio memos between mobile and desktop easier than ever…

You’d be hard-pressed to find a musician without at least one voice memo on their phone containing a spontaneous burst of creativity. Unfortunately though, many of those memos begin to pile up and even worse, forgotten. Momentum could be the end of all that.

Available as both an Android/iOS app and a Mac/PC/ VST/AU/AAX, your musical nuggets can be captured, then dragged into your DAW using the plugin when you’re back in the studio.

Think of it as your very own pocket four-track recorder, one that includes editing, looping and effects. Any ideas you record are synced to the cloud and filed in Momentum’s “Ideaspace”, which you can easily find when you need them. We should state that you can’t use other services like iCloud or Dropbox.

Momentum is free to use, though you’re limited to 3 projects of up to five minutes in length and audio will be restricted to MP3 format. Prices start at $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year, which gets you unlimited projects, while a $9.99 a month or $99.99 a month subscription lands you 60 minutes of recording time, lossless audio and more.
