Acon Digital have just released DeVerberate, a brand new plug in that can dynamically adjust the reverb present in your recorded audio.
The plug-in can remove reverb completely from tracks which could be a very beneficial tool to have, especially in this price range. DeVerberate can be used on both Mac and PC – We look forward to testing it out.
Press Release: Oslo, August 26th, 2013 – The balance between direct sound and reverberation is essential for the acoustic quality of audio recordings. Acon Digital has now released DeVerberate, a new plug-in that can attenuate or boost the reverberation present in recorded material. The novel real-time algorithm works well also with mono recordings and splits the incoming audio into an estimation of the direct sound and the reverberated sound which can then be recombined freely. The improvement process can be monitored visually using the spectral representations of the input and output signal as well as of the estimated reverberation.
“Reverb reduction has until recently been incredibly difficult to achieve and the very few tools available today are in a high price range” says Stian Aagedal, managing director and chief developer at Acon AS. “With the introduction of Acon Digital DeVerberate, we are able to offer a high quality product that is easy to use, has a comparably low CPU consumption and is available for an affordable price”.
Acon Digital DeVerberate is available for both Windows (PC) and OS X (Macintosh) for $99.90 (USD) at acondigital.com. Both 32 and 64 bit versions are available, and the plug-in formats VST and Audio Units (OS X only) are supported.
