Hit’n’Mix has released RipX: DeepRemix and RipX: DeepAudio, both enabling you to split full-mix stereo files into various stems to edit and manipulate instantly. DeepAudio comes with some additional features, such as DAW integration, chord creation, and the ability to create your own tools, among other useful features. Plus, Hit’n’Mix Infinity users can download RipX: DeepAudio for free.

The software is aimed at all types of producers, musicians and DJs looking to rework audio files and extract stems for sampling, mixing and mash-ups. According to Hit’n’Mix, the RipX modules, DeepRemix and DeepAudio, use “AI isolation algorithms and a deep-ripping process” to rapidly deconstruct an audio file.

DeepRemix

DeepRemix is the more affordable tier of the RipX platform, giving you access to stem extraction and manipulation. The standalone software lets you create, sample and share stems from your audio files and mix the stems with other tracks. You can experiment and randomise different tempos, effects, pitches, keys and scales, time-stretching, and the ability to create new loops in real-time.

Ripping speed is up to 10x faster compared to Hit’n’Mix Infinity with greatly improved instrument recognition. The advanced RipX module separates instruments down to the note, harmonic and noise level, making drum sounds and percussion editable as individual sounds.

Mixing controls, such as volume, pan and EQ, can be adjusted in DeepRemix to balance your new creations. The interface displays audio as colour-coded notes, enabling you to quickly identify different stems and layers within your project. You can customise ripping options based on your computer’s power, with RipX capable of maximising the power of Nvidia graphics cards with CUDA capabilities. If you need a more professional workflow, you can add on DeepAudio.

DeepAudio

Primed for post-production, mixing and mastering engineers, sound designers and producers, DeepAudio brings more comprehensive features to the RipX platform. This includes Audioshop, with tools such as Unpitched Editor, Harmonic Editor, Clone, Draw Audio, Draw Pitch; RipScripts for creating your own tools; and VST/ARA and AAX plug-ins. You can also quickly and easily edit the core components of audio – notes, harmonics, frequencies and amplitudes.

DeepAudio’s Pitch To Scale pitch correction can be used to correct the pitch of a selection of sounds within an audio file, with Set Musical Scale re-pitching the audio to a new scale in real-time. Improved stem import and export options, an improved layers panel and live effects for stems are also included in DeepAudio, along with a range of significant UI, editing, playback, workflow and audio processing advancements.

Hit’n’Mix’s RipX DeepRemix is available at an introductory price of $69/£55/€59 until 31 May, moving up to $99/£79/€85 thereafter. RipX DeepAudio is available at an introductory price of $244/£209/€237 until 31 May, moving up to $349/£299/€339 thereafter. You can upgrade from DeepRemix to DeepAudio for $250/£220/€254.
