Image-Line has released a free maintenance update (20.7.1) for FL Studios, following up from the launch of 20.7 last month. While not the most exciting of updates – it does make several improvements based on user feedback that help the DAW run more smoothly and intuitively.
Newtime and Newtone now receive tempo display and tempo sync options in the toolbar; the option to ‘Use Project Time On Load’ has also been introduced for better workflow.
The ZGE Visualiser has seen general optimisation for workflow and performance. It’s said to be better at handling complex presets than before and uses less video memory. More parameters have also been added to the Mobius Object video effect.
Other improvements include new macro shortcuts for Flex mode, auto-detection of python devices in MIDI scripting and improved plug-in loading time in DirectWave for when the editor window is out of view.
