Ableton brings CV Tools out of beta
A neat tool for integrating modular gear with Live 10.
Back at Superbooth 2019, Ableton unveiled the beta version of CV Tools, a pack of 10 modules that afford you control of modular gear from Live 10. The German brand has now announced a fully fledged version of CV Tools, which is available as a free download for users of Ableton’s Live 10 Suite.
CV Tools helps establish communication and control routes between modular gear and Ableton’s Live 10 software. To get started, all you have to do is connect both your laptop and modular device to a DC-coupled audio interface.
The 10 modules can be filtered into three main categories: instrument, modulation and sync, as well as standalone modules. For a quick refresher of each module’s capability, click here.
