Anker Innovation’s Soundcore brand has announced a refresh of their Liberty Pro series with the new Liberty 3 Pro, which will feature several significant improvements including Active Noise Cancellation, LDAC high-quality audio, and several other features that bring their flagship product on par with other new wireless earbuds at a similar price point.

The Liberty 3 Pro reportedly sports several features tuned for user comfort, including HearID ANC that will automatically monitor outside ambient noise levels and in-ear pressure to tailor the noise cancellation to the current situation and surroundings. The earbuds are 30% smaller than the Liberty 2 Pro, and will sport silicone ear wings with an air pressure relief structure.

The earbuds will also feature customisable user touch controls for play/pause, track skipping, and volume, as well as a 6-mic AI uplink noise reduction to reduce background noise during calls.

Each earbud houses a dual-driver setup, with both an Knowles balanced armature driver and a 10.6mm dynamic driver, and delivers high-quality audio through LDAC codec support. Other popular codec formats like AAC and SBC are also supported.

Interestingly, HearID does not just work for ANC but will also complement the listening experience by letting users tune their sound profiles in the Soundcore app, which can “boost frequencies independently that are lacking for each ear”.

The Liberty 3 Pro will offer up to eight hours of battery life with ANC off and six hours battery life with ANC on. The charging case stores 32 hours of playtime if the earbuds are used without ANC, and 24 without ANC, and will provide three hours of playtime on a 15-minute fast charge thanks to Anker’s own fast-charging technology.

In our review of their predecessor, the Liberty 2 Pro, we said: “If you’re looking for some good-quality earbuds with which to simply enjoy your music, podcasts and videos, the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros are seriously worth considering…At £120, there aren’t many other wireless earbuds in this price range that can compete.”

The Liberty Pro 3 will be available in Midnight Black, Frost White, Fog Gray and Dusk Purple colours, and retails at £139.99. Orders can be made on Soundcore’s website.
