Free social music platform and online DAW, BandLab, announces a 50% increase in users in the first five months of 2020. Now, the platform boasts 18 million users in 180 countries across the globe.

BandLab reports that over a million new users are joining every month, with almost 10 million tracks being created on the platform every month as well.

The user-friendly and cost-free Digital Audio Workstation smoothly integrates music-making, online mastering and collaboration tools. BandLab aims to be a haven for creators to make and share their music and process with fellow musicians and fans. Users have access to unlimited cloud storage across iOS, Android and desktop web browser, making it one of “the most accessible music composition and collaboration tool on the market”, BandLab says.

“With a global community of musicians and fans”, the company continues, “BandLab’s mission is to break down the technical, geographic and creative barriers between creators, collaborators and community by providing a completely free and unlimited cross-platform service”.

With built-in forums, chat, a collaborator search function and realtime collaborative DAW sessions, BandLab provides the essential tools for music-makers of all levels to develop their ideas. The ‘forking’ feature can be enabled on selected projects to allow other users to record new parts or even remix the forkable track.
