Boutique instrument maker Critter & Guitari has released a new version of its friendly Organelle synthesizer and sampler. With battery operation, built-in speaker and microphone as well as MIDI connectivity, Organelle has now become a portable music-making device.
There have been improvements made internally as well, with the device’s processor swapped out for a faster one, RAM doubled and web interface refreshed. The last of these should improve two aspects: patch organisation and performance within Ableton Link sessions.
Otherwise, most of the original Organelle’s features have been retained. You’ll find the same set of mappable knobs, keys and buttons as your main control set. Another familiar feature is the in-built mini screen that gives you an overview of patch menus.
