deadmau5’s OSC/Pilot lets you drag and drop custom control surfaces

OSC/Pilot, the software control surface used by revered electronic musician deadmau5 for his live shows, is now available for the public. The application offers an intuitive and flexible way for users to build custom UIs for live performance or production.
Users are presented with an array of widgets (buttons, sliders, dials and X/Y matrices) that communicate OSC (open sound control) and MIDI data to external applications and devices. For instance, a button matrix could be assigned to MIDI parameters in Ableton Live, or to control visual applications such as TouchDesigner, vvvv and Resolume via OSC.
Each widget offers a high degree of customisation, with options for colour and appearance; monophonic or polyphonic input; MIDI channel assignments, whether touch control is constrained to a particular region, and much more. By using simple drag and drop, widgets can be resized and positioned anywhere on an active workspace. A total of 32 workspaces are accessible at a time per project.
