Subpac’s wearable subwoofer gets a limited edition paint job with the deadmau5 x Subpac M2. The collaboration between deadmau5, AKA Joel Zimmerman, and Subpac sees 100 per cent of proceeds being donated to StudioFeed, Black Table Arts and Maria Batlle Foundation. You can read our interview with deadmau5 in the latest issue of MusicTech.

The Subpac M2 is a vest that lets users feel low-frequency content on their body, using tactile transducers and vibrotactile membranes to offer a unique music listening experience. It’s used by producers, DJs, bass players, and even athletes, who desire a more powerful bass response – which is silent to the outside world. It’s often used by listenerrs in gaming and VR environments.

Deadmau5’s custom M2 features deadmau5’s logo, along with the iconic mau5head, printed on the back with a blue, red and purple background. The brand says that the M2 provides “the new way to experience deadmau5: FEEL IT”. Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP streaming lets you hook up to the Subpac M2 wirelessly, with a high-capacity Li-ion battery rechargeable battery giving you six hours of use on a single charge.

Subpac warns that there is a very limited number of custom units are available. You can get your hands on one now for £360. Find out more at subpac.com
