Existing Focusrite customers signed up to the company’s Plug-In Collective initiative can take advantage of two plug-ins from Mastering The Mix. For March/April’s Plug-In Collective member giveaway, the interface maker is offering Ignite (reg. $29) and a six-month unrestricted trial of Bassroom.
Ignite is one section of the Animate plug-in, and is a dynamic harmonic distortion with a simple UI. It is designed as a level- and frequency-dependent processor for distortion, texture and stereo width – useful tools for bringing a bit of excitement to your sound sources.
Bassroom is a mastering EQ that focuses on sculpting low-end. It offers a well-calibrated five-band EQ to achieve balanced low-end in little time. To further aid the quest for the holy low-end, Bassroom also offers some smart features. Genre-specific presets provide EQ target suggestions based on a real-time analysis of your mix. There’s also an option to load in your own reference tracks.
Members of Focusrite’s Plug-In Collective can download Ignite and a six-month trial of Bassroom free from their Focusrite account from 12 March to 7 May.
