In a bid to make their product line more eco-friendly, Finnish speaker maker Genelec is now offering a RAW finish option on several of their studio, AV and home audio speakers.

This new option makes use of recycled aluminium – similar to that found in drink cans. It requires no painting and “less finishing material” according to the brand, resulting in a finish that is overall, more sustainable.

Speakers that will offer this natural RAW aluminium finish include the 8020, 8030 and 8040 nearfield studio monitors, the 4020, 4030 and 4040 installation loudspeakers, the 4420 and 4430 Smart IP loudspeakers, and the G Two, G Three and G Four home audio speakers.

The speakers will still feature the brand’s smooth-curved Minimum Diffraction Enclosure, which is held up by the speaker maker for its precise imaging capabilities.
