IK Multimedia has announced the UNO Synth Pro and UNO Synth Pro Desktop, fleshing out the popular UNO Synth with fresh paraphonic capabilities.

The synths were created in collaboration with Italian boutique synth-maker Soundmachines. Both feature three wave-morphing oscillators, dual filters, a 64-step sequencer, expanded CV/Gate capabilities and 256 built-in presets. The UNO Synth Pro, the keyboard edition, also offers a 37-key Fatar keybed.

Joining the original UNO Synth’s 2-pole OTA multi-mode filter is a new SSI 2/4-pole LP filter with self-oscillation capabilities. The latter comes from the same family as the filter in Sequential’s Prophet-5. Both can be run in series or parallel.

You also get two onboard ADSR envelopes, along with two LFOs for classic synth modulation action and a 16-slot mod matrix that for internal and external routing.

Meanwhile the 10-mode arpeggiator lets you create intricate patterns and runs, with a new chord mode that takes advantage of the paraphonic design to pull off triads and other chord voicings.

Round out the synths are some onboard effects. There’s an analogue overdrive circuit drawn from the original and 12 digital effects providing modulation, delay and reverb.

Beyond the expected I/O of two balanced stereo outputs, dedicated headphone out and USB, there are 5-pin DIN MIDI ports and assignable CV/Gate connections.

The UNO Synth Pro and UNO Synth Pro Desktop are priced at $649.99 and $399.99, respectively.
