Kanto TUK Hero

Kanto, a Canadian based audio specialist company, is now shipping TUK, a versatile wireless, powered speaker system. The company says TUK is its “most advanced model to date”, with the intention to “push the limits on what a bookshelf speaker can achieve”.

Available in 26 and 32-inch models, the speakers are designed to provide crystal clear sound, flexible connectivity and supreme stereo imaging in a sleek, futuristic-looking package. TUK is fine-tuned with onboard DSP, featuring AMT tweeters and 5.25-inch aluminium drivers to deliver accurate highs and rich bass. When connected to a subwoofer, the speakers’ active crossover filters implement a low-frequency cutoff at 80Hz to make room for the lower deeper frequencies.

Kanto TUK Black
TUK speakers also come in a matte black finish.

Custom EQ presets let you tune your set-up to experience your music as you desire. You can save the EQ settings for each input, so you can keep bass pumped when you’re gaming, or maintain a flat response when listening to vinyl. However you choose to listen to your devices, all you have to do is set it and forget it.

TUK utilises Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX HD and AAC for high-quality wireless streaming, along with phono, RCA and Optical TOSLINK inputs. Built into the speakers is a phono pre-amp, headphone amp and USB DAC, negating the need to go out and buy the equipment separately. It’s connectivity options allow devices spanning from smart home devices such as Amazon Echo or Google Home Mini, to turntables, to TV.

Kanto TUK speakers are available now for $799. Find out more at kantoaudio.com
