The kick processing section from the KSHMR Essentials suite is now available as a standalone plug-in for free. This collects the transient shaping, dynamics processing and width control tools frequently employed by the award-winning producer and DJ.
KSHMR Essentials Kick’s presents a module chain designed by KSHMR. The plug-in keeps its complex processing under the hood, and instead emphasises simplicity. It offers eight parameters that each make broad-stroke changes to your kick sound.
These include a Sub control for adding low-end to your kick; Mid and Air controls for shaping and boosting high-mids and presence; a Pressure control which dials in multi-band compression; a Trans knob which sizes up transients, and a stereo width control. Additionally, there’s also a Tape module for introducing subtle tape saturation.
KSHMR recently took to Reddit’s EDM production subreddit to share his new free plug-in, where he wrote: “It puts a lot of the tools I use for shaping Kicks in one place like transient design, compression, MB compression, width control, EQ, etc. Hope you enjoy.”
