Principleasure is giving away a 5.5GB sample pack of vintage synth sounds
From Sequential to Oberheim to Roland and beyond.
After selling the sample pack as an NFT this week, Principleasure is now giving away the sounds of Principleasure Instrumental Audio Pack 1 for free.
The 5.5GB pack comprises samples from a range of synths that are fast becoming rare finds. This includes sounds from the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5, Prophet T8, Oberheim OB-8, Roland TB-303, Roland TR-808, Yamaha CS-80, Roland Jupiter 6, Roland MKS-80, Roland Juno 60, Roland SH-101, Korg Mono/Poly and more.
When asked about the change of heart in the distribution of the sample pack, Principleasure told us: “I reached the buy now offer rather quickly from someone who I’m sure is going to re-sell on the secondary market. I still have tonnes of sounds – so this is a free drop for everyone who missed out!”
All the sounds are dry, featuring no EQ, added effects or normalisation. Everything was recorded at Principle Pleasure Studios, LA, using a Prism Orpheus sound card for pristine capturing in 24-bit/44.1kHz. Each file is recorded at different keys, velocities, filter settings and tunings. You’ll be able to load each instrument into Native Instruments’ Kontakt sampler as .nki patches, though you’ll need the full version of Kontakt to do this.
You will have the rights to use the samples in your tracks and productions with no limitations. If the collection is shared, that owner also acquires the rights to use the material in their work.
