Roland makes Zenbeats Unlock free during coronavirus period
iOS and Android users can get access to enhanced features and “spark musical ideas”
With Zenbeats Unlock, users can use all bundled instruments, channel effects, create bigger projects and get SampleVerse with 500mb of sounds. iOS users will also get AUv3 plug-in support.
Previously known as Stagelight, Zenbeats brings classic Roland sounds to the palm of your hand. The app is loaded with sounds from the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303 and more, with the ability to sequence beats, play in notes and apply automation and modulation to your music. There are also in-app purchases if you’re on the lookout for further inspiration.
Once you’ve got an idea down you can export it to a DAW to make it a masterpiece, or, as Zenbeats is cross-platform, continue working on it on another device. Roland also encourage sharing and collaboration with Zenbeats, with the ability to upload your music straight to SoundCloud.
Making the announcement on Instagram, Roland says: “With increased time for creativity, exploring a new app is a great way to spark musical ideas. Right now, we have a special offer. Enjoy the Zenbeats Unlock on iOS or Android for free”. View the full post below
The basic version of Zenbeats is free, but Unlock usually costs a further $15, so it’s a good idea to take advantage of this offer while it’s available. Roland has not specified a closing date for the giveaway.
Zenbeats is available for free on the App Store and Play Store. Find out more at roland.com
