Spitfire Audio has released the Studio Woodwinds library, the third and final instalment of its Studio Orchestra series, available in standard and professional editions.
In the standard offering, you’ll have access to 143 articulations across 11 instruments. These span staples such as the piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinets, bassoons, as well as five solo samples.
The professional edition has all that and more, offering 185 articulations across 15 instruments, including the contrabassoon, contrabass clarinet and bass flute. Along with these samples, the edition also features a suite of versatile mic’ing options consisting of two mixes, two close-mic arrangements, two Decca Tree setups, ambient mics and outriggers.
The samples were performed by session musicians in London’s AIR Studios’ Studio 1, with Grammy-winning audio engineer Simon Rhodes helming the recording process.
