Tascam has announced the US-HR series, an eye-catching trio of easy-to-operate audio interfaces aimed at musicians, podcasters and producers. These interfaces can be bus-powered and come bundled with a suite of software to start off beginners.
All three models equip with the brand’s Ultra-HDDA mic preamps and support audio resolutions of up to 24-bit at a 192kHz sampling rate. As well as this, Tascam also touts the interfaces to offer a “very high signal-to-noise ratio” and “ultra-low latency” with buffer sizes that start at four samples.
The US-1x2H is the smallest member of the squad and is ideal for solo performers. It offers a single XLR input, a TRS instrument/line input and two RCA outputs.
Meanwhile, the US-2x2HR comes outfitted with two XLR/TRS inputs, a monitor balance knob, both XLR and line outputs, as well as MIDI connectivity.
Finally, the US-4x4HR has four XLR mic inputs, four balanced line inputs (two which can be used for instruments), MIDI I/O and two headphones outputs.
As for bundled software, there’s a copy of Steinberg’s Cubase LE for recording, IK Multimedia’s SampleTank SE 4 (with a 30 Gig sound library) and a three-month’s subscription to Antares’ Auto-Tune Unlimited.
The US-HR series will be available to purchase in December. The US-1x2HR, US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR are priced at £113, £144 and £231, respectively.
