Twenty Five packs in 150 presets made from 73 resampled sounds and 43 Play Series wavetables. Each sound comes from one of Native Instruments’ powerful synths in its 25-year history, including Absynth, Massive, Reaktor, Pharlight, Super 8, FM8, Monark, Razor and many more.
The main page of Twenty Five is a quirky GUI that provides you with two sound layers, A and B, which contain the sounds and wavetables. These can be blended together to easily change the timbre of the patch, while a host of effects along the bottom of the page allow you to apply delay, reverb, saturation and more.
You can easily go deeper into the synth, too, with a Sound Editor page that lets you modify the tuning, filters, panning and envelopes of each sound layer. You can also customise the effects chain using the Effects Editor, which enables you to change the signal flow and swap in different effects. A 16-step sequencer is also onboard to create inspiring patterns with ease, and macro mappings are easily assignable on a single page.
You’ll need the latest version of NI’s free Kontakt Player to host Twenty Five. The new plug-in is free but is only available until 31 December 2021, so act fast if you want to check out NI’s iconic instruments all in one place.
Along with Twenty Five, Native Instruments has released a limited-edition run of six hardware products. Maschine+, Maschine Mk3, Traktor Kontrol S4, Traktor Kontrol X1, and Komplete S49 and S61 are all available in Ultraviolet and Vapor Gray colours in celebration of NI’s anniversary.
Plus, producers can enter a new competition on Metapop, Native Instruments’ creator community.
