Akai Professional has announced that their pad-based music production app iMPC, is now available on Android, but only on Samsung Galaxy devices for the time being…

With iMPC you can create sequences, add effects or make use of the library of built-in samples while on the move. There’s also support for up to 8 audio or MIDI tracks, time correction and note repeat. On top of that projects can be exported as WAV files or to the desktop MPC software for further work.

“With the iMPC, users can create and manipulate beats and sequences with amazing precision and creativity,” said Dan Gill, Product Manager for Akai Professional. “It’s simple to use, and has all the flexibility and options anyone could ever want – and then some.
