Beatport and Loopmasters have struck a new partnership that promises both parties strategic advantages in the online music and sound distribution field.
The agreement sees Beatport invest in Loopmasters and sell its Beatport Sounds business to the online music production tools store. Beatport will also look to integrate Loopmasters’ product suite into its website over the next year, beefing up its already stacked catalogue of curated tracks. This will see Loopmasters sound packs and plug-ins becoming available on Beatport.
Commenting on the deal, Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels said: “Our partnership with, and investment in Loopmasters illustrates Beatport’s commitment to delivering the best products to our loyal customers and the global DJ/producer community. Loopmasters’ long history of delivering a world-class product and customer experience is going to be a valuable asset for Beatport’s more than 36 million annual visitors for many years to come.”
Another notable part of the deal includes Loopcloud being the first product displayed on Beatport’s website. The software gives users access to thousands of cloud-based sounds that can be auditioned in tempo and key within a DAW.
The integration of Loopmasters’ products with the Beatport site is a huge win for the UK brand. “We are thrilled to integrate the Loopmasters product suite into the Beatport site, enhance our sound library with their licensed sounds catalogue and gain access to the amazing artist and label relationships they have cultivated over the last 15 years. The combination of these two great companies will surely create an unparalleled product offering for emerging and established producers around the world,” said Loopmasters’ founder and CEO Matt Pelling.
