Guitar.com is launching a free virtual guitar show called Guitar.com Live, which runs from 2 to 4 October. The virtual event will give players, artists and top guitar brands a place to connect via a series of virtual trade show booths, spaces and stages.
Chris Vinnicombe, Chief Editor of Guitar.com calls the upcoming event an “epic virtual gathering” and namechecks launch partners Taylor Guitars, PRS, Ernie Ball and MONO. He explains that attendees can “expect to experience a series of incredibly immersive virtual spaces, as well as see the latest gear, hear breaking news first-hand and get up close (virtually) to their heroes”.
There are three main virtual spaces on the Guitar.com Live Hub:
- The Main Stage will host artist performances, masterclasses and video podcasts
- The Lounge will be the place for industry discussions, gear reviews and interviews
- The Showcase, meanwhile, will be the venue for leading guitar brands to launch products and host Q&As in a bespoke virtual showroom
Holly Bishop, Head of Strategy & Partnerships at BandLab Technologies, says: “Audiences are searching for a more meaningful interaction with their favourite instrument makers, artists and online profiles, and they’re doing so in greater numbers than ever before. We are creating a premium experience, fully backed by the BandLab Technologies group, which will allow brands and artists to connect with their audiences like never before. You won’t want to miss out!”
This announcement follows news that the physical Winter NAMM show may be cancelled, leaving the trade show calendar a little bare.
