SoundCloud announces beta version of SoundCloud Premier distribution
Creators will now be able to monetise and distribute their content directly from the platform.
SoundCloud has unveiled a beta version of SoundCloud Premier, which is aimed at empowering creators to monetise and distribute their content on the audio and music platform itself.
Billed as the “first and only distribution tool built directly into a streaming platform”, SoundCloud Premier will allow creators to receive payouts from all major music and social media outlets. These include Amazon Music, Apple Music, Instagram, Spotify, Tencent and YouTube Music.
Better yet, it’ll be of no extra cost if you’re an eligible Pro or Pro Unlimited subscriber. Conditions are as follows:
- 18 years of age or older
- Creator of original music
- Zero copyright strikes
- At least 1,000 monetisable track plays
SoundCloud also adds that creators will keep 100 per cent of their rights and payouts, and get payments directly from the platform.
