Spotify HiFi’s onboarding pages have seemingly been leaked on Reddit

A Redditor has leaked alleged footage of the onboarding process for Spotify HiFi after claiming to have modified the app.
The video was shared to /truespotify last Thursday (12 August) with a brief caption in the post’s title. “Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming HiFi onboarding process from modifying the app,” wrote user Nickx000x.
Information from the video tallies with that of previous purported leaks. The clip shows a slide-out menu informing you if your device and internet connection are right for Spotify HiFi. The clip also shows that Spotify Connect will mark with an icon listening devices that are Spotify HiFi-compatible.
This isn’t the first time a Redditor has seemingly been able to gain access to HiFi. Back in May, another user claimed to have accessed the to-be-launched service’s menu by exploiting a glitch in the iOS version of the app.
Spotify HiFi, the much-anticipated lossless streaming tier of the world’s most popular streaming service, was announced back in February. The service is due to launch in 2021, though Spotify has not specified exactly when.
Spotify also noted that it would be working with some of “the world’s biggest speaker manufacturers” to make the service accessible to as many fans as possible.
