In the run-up to the release of its new mastering suite, Ozone 9, iZotope is offering Ozone 8 Elements as a free download. Available until October 2, those who download Ozone 8 Elements will also be able to take advantage of a lower introductory price on the upcoming Ozone 9.
Ozone 8 Elements, worth $129, has been iZotope’s most affordable mastering product since its release in 2018. It’s designed to simplify the process of mastering your tracks for streaming and CD reproduction. Ozone 8 Elements features an EQ, stereo imager and adjustable maximiser threshold. It even warns you if your track is going to be penalised by streaming platforms for breaking loudness standards. Ozone 8’s Master Assistant can analyze mixes and suggests targets, signal chain and processor settings in an effort to help you add a personal sonic signature to your music.
While there is currently no information available on Ozone 9, iZotope has made a blog post claiming the new software will bring “never-before-seen processing for low-end, realtime instrument separation and lightning-fast workflows”.
We reviewed Ozone 8 last year, which you can read here.
