Meters Music OV-1-B-Connect

Meters Music, a subsidiary of Ashdown Engineering, has unveiled its new flagship wireless headphones, the OV-1-B-Connect, featuring wireless aptX HD Bluetooth connectivity and active noise cancelling. The accompanying Meters Connect app is released alongside the headphones to be used for ultimate control and customisation over the audio. OV-1-B-Connect comes with a cosmetic design quirk – fully functioning VU meters on the outside of each speaker, with RGB LEDs displaying a colour selected by you via Meters Connect.

The headphones are built with Qualcomm’s QCC5124 System-on-chip (SoC), which is used to provide 24bit audio via Bluetooth. This makes OV-1-B-Connect one of the first set of headphones to utilise the chip. The headphones are also built with 40mm dome drivers, a frequency response of 20hz-20kHz, 94dB/mW sensitivity and an impedance of 32 Ohms at 1kHz.

Meter’s headphones are designed to bring out the full potential of your personal audio device, with a 5-band parametric EQ that can be adjusted via Meters Connect, available on App Store or Google Play. To keep your eyes off the phone screen, though, you can use tap buttons on the side of the headphones to accept phone calls, adjust volume or skip tracks. The battery life will allow you to actively listen to music for up to 16 hours, with 22 hours on standby. You can turn off noise-cancelling if you wish to further conserve your battery.

Meters Music OV-1-B-Connect is available in black, tan and white finishes and can be pre-ordered now for £300. Find out more at metersmusic.com
