Watch CLON, NWRMNTC discuss their AV project META
Pair’s project presented at Point Blank’s International Women’s Day event.
Earlier this year, Point Blank helmed an event to commemorate International Women’s Day, with a host of female and female-identified guests giving presentations on their exciting new projects.
The music school has now uploaded a video of a presentation given by CLON (Estela Oliva) and NWRMNTC (Ana Quiroga), who spoke on their new project entitled META.
META is a VR art project aimed at provoking thought on how technology has impacted humans and our environment. It achieves this through a unique combination of audiovisual art and sound design.
Besides META, the pair also touched on their previous collab: a concept film titled JANMAR B17. The flick features a cyborg-like, gender-neutral render of CLON paired with sound design by NWRMNTC. The duo collated inspiration for the film’s landscapes and atmospheric sounds while trekking through Europe, taking 3D scans of natural elements and old industrial buildings as they went.
