RME have today released details of their brand new interface, the RME Babyface Pro. Read on for the full info…
New RME Babyface Pro
The new Babyface Pro is created with the highest precision from a block of aluminium, this high-end yet portable interface incorporates newly designed analogue and digital circuits, providing supreme fidelity with no compromises in level, noise or distortion.
For the main I/O RME have designed a completely new XLR socket, which integrates seamlessly into the new housing. The two headphone outputs have separate driver stages to match low and high impedance headphones.
Babyface Pro’s two digitally controlled preamps provide individually switchable 48V. These brand new circuits feature gain of up to 70dB, enough gain for even the lowest level microphones.
Latest generation low latency AD/DA converters, combined with RME’s SteadyClock technology, offer exceptional specifications that will satisfy the most demanding of professionals. Optical TOSLINK I/O (ADAT or SPDIF up to 192 kHz), two line/instrument inputs along with the MIDI I/O complete the package.
Babyface Pro’s efficient design rarely requires an external PSU, making it perfect for mobile recording, even with a pair of condenser microphones and ships with RME’s TotalMix FX (Mac, Windows & iOS), giving you total control of all I/O when mixing, routing and much more. 3-band parametric EQ, reverb and delay FX are also onboard.
