Featuring eight channels of the company’s 2nd generation Scarlett preamps and built-in precision 24-bit/192kHz conversion, which Focusrite claim will deliver plenty of gain, low noise and low distortion, the OctoPres are “an ideal way of adding eight extra mic/line inputs to a DAW or digital console. And there are eight analogue outputs too, perfect for stand alone use in a live sound environment.”

Thanks to the preamps feeding precision 24-bit Focusrite A-D converters that operate up to 192kHz sampling with 109dB dynamic range the Octopres is perfect for hi-res audio recording.

Also featured in the OctoPres is two mic pres with high headroom for instrument inputs, allowing you to plug straight in, with the OctoPre Dynamic offering optimised headroom and analogue compression on every channel.

Both OctoPres provide phantom power throughout, accurate 5-segment LED metering, simple ADAT connectivity and state-of-the-art digital clocking for full integration with digital systems.

The OctoPre costs £379.99 and the OctoPre Dynamic costs £579.99, however both preamps are currently out of stock. For more information on the OctoPre head here and for the OctoPre Dynamic head here.
