NAMM 2020: We’re three days into NAMM 2020 and there are still plenty of sights to behold. Here are five of our best finds from today:
DSI Sequential Pro 3
Dave Smith Instruments (formerly Sequential) has revealed the Sequential Pro 3 as the next successor to the brand’s Pro series, signalling a return to form for the monosynth. The Pro 3 builds upon the features of its predecessor with the addition of a new architecture that supports three oscillators (two analogue and one wavetable), three filters and three LFOs.
UDO Super 6
Bristol-based UDO‘s Super 6 is the brand’s inaugural offering and comes as a 12-voice polyphonic Binaural Analog-Hybrid synthesiser with super-wave technology that was designed in collaboration with Axel Hartmann. It also supports parallel processing via FPGA technology, which provides very high sample rates.
PreSonus ioStation 24c
PreSonus proves that you can have the strengths of both an audio interface and DAW in one streamlined device with the ioStation 24c. The device supports both the Mackie Control and HUI protocols, and comes with two of PreSonus’s XMAX Class A analogue preamps, simple transport controls and a 100mm touch-sensitive motorised fader.
Nektar Aura
Nektar‘s multi-functional Aura comes packaged with Nektarine 2.0, which supports VST and AU plug-ins while also giving users the option of using up to 64 effect plug-ins per Nektarine instance. There is also a Plugin mode that provides users instant control over their plug-in’s parameters, such as pitch, decay and level.
Mammoth Audio Density
Mammoth Audio has released Density – an expansive instrument library for Native Instruments’ Kontakt, featuring over 1,500 organic one shot samples and the unique ability to later playables and one-shots.
