The music tech community was rife with speculation today after a leaked photo of a new Native Instruments groovebox surfaced online. The brand has now confirmed it to be the Maschine+, an entirely standalone workstation that will offer a creative and versatile workflow without the need for a laptop.

Those familiar with the Maschine workflow will likely be able to adapt quickly to the new instrument, as the Maschine+ takes much of its approach from its predecessors. You’ll be able to make use of this along with a desirable palette of software instruments and effects including Massive, Monark, Prism, FM8, Raum, Phasis, the Maschine Factory Library and five Expansions. Each instrument has been optimised for the quad-core groovebox, offering swift and smooth music production.

Maschine+

You can access a library of sounds with Native Instruments Expansions and load in your own samples via SD and USB storage. Not only will this make for an impressive studio centrepiece, but the Maschine+ is also a beast for onstage performance, too. Maschine+ provides tight hands-on control over every element of your instruments and effects with the twist of a knob.

“This release marks a pivotal moment in Native’s history,” says CIO and President, Mate Galic, “and it’s something that’s been highly requested by the MASCHINE community. Since day one, MASCHINE has been about combining the power of modern computers with a fast, fun, hardware-based workflow. Today we come full circle by combining those key elements – together with some of the most iconic sounds from KOMPLETE – in a powerful standalone instrument. Not only is MASCHINE+ a new flagship for our range, it also sets a new benchmark for exciting future products and continued development.”
