British music manufacturer, Novation, has unveiled the third iteration of its popular keyboard controller range, Launchkey. Read our review here.

Four new controllers comprise the range, starting at 25 keys and moving up to 37, 49 and 61. The 37-key model is a new addition to the series and is “the most comprehensive controller of its size with full-size keys on the market”, according to Novation. Scale, Chord and Arpeggiator features make the Launchkey MK3 series a creative playground and can all be used standalone.

Novation has partnered up with Ableton to ensure the Launchkey MK3 integrates deeply with Ableton Live 10. The controllers have onboard buttons and features that provide quick access to features like Capture MIDI, track arm, quantise, click and loop controls and more. Drum Mode gets you in the beat-making zone with immediate access to Drum Racks, making use of the onboard pads, while Scale, Chord and Arpeggiator features make the Launchkey MK3 series a creative playground and can all be used standalone.

The controllers have full-size five-pin MIDI output, allowing connectivity between MIDI-compatible devices. Novation Components can be used to configure MIDI parameter assignments of Launchkey’s knobs, faders and pads, to take full control of your DAW and MIDI gear.

Launchkey also has full integration with Logic Pro and Reason, plus out of the box functionality with other DAWs including Studio One, Cubase and Pro Tools, via HUI.
