Play sounds from NASA and Noisia on Novation’s Peak and Summit synths
A new Wavetable Editor for the flagship polysynths give you ultimate control of your oscillators.
Superbooth 2020: Novation’s Peak and Summit polysynths get an upgrade, introducing a new Wavetable Editor which opens up new sound designing possibilities. Additional sounds have been contributed by NASA, as well as from Dutch production trio, Noisia.
Wavetable Editor provides “super-deep control of the wavetable oscillators”, according to Novation. Operating on the Novation Components platform, Wavetable Editor has some nifty new drawing tools and a Live Edit mode, whereby oscillator shapes can be drawn in by hand and previewed in realtime. An audio import feature lets users load in their own samples to use as the oscillator waveform, which could be an invaluable asset in crafting experimental sounds.
NASA’s helping hand will let you send your sounds into orbit, thanks to a space-themed sound library. Comprised of recordings from human space exploration and otherworldly environments, this feature is a unique touch that astronomy fans may just relish in. Meanwhile, fans of neurofunk giants, Noisia, will be pleased to have access to the preset pack created by the heavy-hitting wizards. This should be an ample playground for wavetable exploration.
The Wavetable Editor is free to use, and is accessed on the Novation Components platform when Peak or Summit is connected via USB to a computer.
