Point Blank have announced details of their awesome looking new LA-based school. Read of for details of the upcoming launch event.
Point Blank has announced the official launch event for its Los Angeles college, which takes place on Thursday, February 19th 2015. You can reserve your free tickets for the event via the Eventbrite page. This event is not only a great chance to check out the new school – you’ll also be able to network with music industry experts and learn from interactive seminars, tours and masterclasses.
The event will commence from 1:30pm at Mack Sennett Studios’ Stage 1 space. After initial welcomes and introductions, Point Blank expert instructor Tom Wilson aka Sweatson Klank will dive into some key production tips in Ableton using the latest studio gear, including Ableton Push and Native Instruments’ Komplete Kontrol S-49 keyboard. This masterclass will present the ideal opportunity to get a flavor of some of the course content at PBLA.
Point Blank will also have a panel moderated by Head of Point Blank LA Jesse Rogg, looking into ‘The Business Behind the Music’. This discussion will focus on what a new artist needs to think about when entering the music business, and will feature a number of LA-based music industry experts and artists on the panel.
PB will even have some of their fully-equipped music production workstations set up ready for those of you who want to get involved and try out their equipment during the studio tour. And for those of you interested in studying at Point Blank LA there’s currently 20% off all courses (a saving of up to $1750!) as a special introductory offer – don’t delay in taking advantage though, this discount won’t be around forever!
