Point Blank have teamed up with Resident Advisor to launch the Young Producers Scholarship. The winner receives a full scholarship to Point Blank’s CertHE Music Production & DJ Practice course, which is worth over £9,000. This takes place at Point Blank’s HQ in Shoreditch, London. Point Blank, Resident Advisor and well-established members of the electronic music industry will provide support to the aspiring artist. The programme has been set up to help passionate musicians and producers reach their potential, where they may have not had the prior opportunity to do so.

The nine-month course is one of Point Blank’s most popular and intensive, with an array of modules throughout: Intro to Music Production, DJ SKills, Music Composition, Sound Design, Art of Mixing, Music Industry and more. The course is tailored to young artists looking to start a career in the music industry.

Last year’s winner, Tailor Jae, has since worked with Kurupt FM and Spooky, as well as securing guest slots on Rinse FM and Keep Hush UK alongside Conducta. Her recent release, Thief was made in collaboration with Point Blank students, Traces, at their Orsman Road studios.

To apply for the Young Producers Scholarship, entrees fill out a CertHE Application form, outlining why you want to be selected for the scheme. You should include highlights of your musical experience in the form of a CV and/or Cover letter, plus your artist social media profiles where your work has been showcased. The deadline for this application is October 31, and a shortlist will be announced by December 2 2019.
