Point Blank and Beatport’s Producer Profile turns two with this brand new video profiling the Techno Duo Exercise One. We headed to Berlin to get in the studio with two of Techno’s most vibrant and exciting artists, whose gear-packed studio is treated as a live stage show, with everything running into Ableton Live. We sat down with them to find out more about how their music-making process works.

Berlin is famous for its electronic music scene and rightly so – it’s home to some of the best clubs, biggest artists and more influential and innovative companies. Speaking of which, we teamed up with our friends at Beatport to bring you this new series looking at some of the aforementioned artists to get the low-down on their studio processes and approach to playing live. Exercise One consistently have one foot in each world, with their live show featuring an extension of their studio.

Their latest album Tales Of Ordinary Madness is made up of off-the-cuff performances one some classic analogue hardware, which are then re-sampled and arranged using Ableton Live. In our Producer Profile video, we look at how the process works as well as speaking to the guys about how Berlin as a city has changed over the past ten years and what makes them love to play there.

You can watch the whole video above and make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to keep up to the date the series and with our free tutorials and live events.
