Reason 10.1 is here, bringing with it an updated Europa synth, a new generation of Rack Extensions and a free Drum Sequencer…
Users can now load any sample into Europa’s engine to use as their waveform. There’s also the ability to load a sample into the Spectral Filter section and use the sample as the filter’s spectral multiplier, which Reason says will bring endless sound possibilities. 10.1 now also supports Rack Extension SDK 3, opening the doors for developers to create new Player devices. One of these new Players available on the Propellerhead store is the new Drum Sequence that, for a limited time, can be downloaded for free. See it in action below:
“Reason 10.1 is an exciting update for both music makers and Rack Extension developers,” stated Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Propellerhead Product Manager. “For Reason owners, loading samples in Europa greatly expands its already wide palette of sounds and the new Drum Sequencer is the perfect partner for sequencing Kong or your favorite drum plug-in. For developers, they can now create Rack Extension Players, adding new creative ways to perform, sequence and create with the instruments you already have.”
